Reconciliation

This site is built from game-by-game records. EIHL’s own pages are built differently, so the two can disagree. This page lists the known reasons, each with the games or players it affects.

EIHL sometimes keeps more than one profile page for the same player and shares his games between them, so a page shows only part of his career. Here a player counts once and every game is included. The table lists the 73 players EIHL has under several pages: the main page (the one with the most games) and the others, each with its games. A birth date of 1 January 1970 on EIHL’s site might mean none is recorded.

Playoff third-place games, 2016/17–2018/19

EIHL has no game page for these three games, and its players’ playoff lines leave them out. Its team statistics pages leave them out too, so EIHL’s team figures, such as games played and goals scored, are short by the same games. The games were played, so this site includes them, and a player’s playoff games here can be one higher than on EIHL for these seasons. From 2021/22 EIHL does count the third-place game. The last column is how many of the game’s players have a playoff line on EIHL that omits it.

EIHL’s season schedules contain entries that are wrong, so results copied from them can be wrong too. Each listed score here is compared with the result settled from the game sheets and other independent results; only seasons and competitions with at least one error are shown.

Reversed scores. On a large share of listings the schedule shows the score with home and away swapped, so the home side appears to have lost a game it won, or the other way round. It affects 770 entries, most of them in the 2008/09–2013/14 league seasons (as many as 119 in a single season), with many more in Challenge Cup seasons up to 2015/16. Also counted: other wrong scores (8); wrong endings, where the score is right but the entry says regulation, overtime or shoot-out wrongly (213); duplicates, a game listed twice, including in both competitions (48); and erroneous entries, games that were never played (placeholders, wrong years, data-entry errors) (11).
